The historic Abdeen Palace is hard at work preparing for the upcoming “40 Years of Creativity and Excellence” celebration to honor acclaimed composer Omar Khairat.
The celebration will be held on June 7, led by Maestro Nayer Nagui and his orchestra, and under the auspices of the Egyptian Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities and the Egyptian General Authority for Tourism Promotion.
Khairat is scheduled to perform during the event with some of his most renowned compositions across his celebrated career.
This concert comes under the artistic cooperation between Khairat and the “RMC” company, in an initiative that is the first of its kind to present this type of international music to the Egyptian and Arab public.
The company organizing the concert announced that tickets will be available for reservation and purchase online through TicketsMarche.
The founder and managing director of RMC Worldwide Partners, a consulting and marketing company, Ahmed Obaid said: “The great musician Omar Khairat will not be repeated in the history of Egyptian and Arab art, and we are happy to organize a huge celebration worthy of his rich artistic history extending for more than 40 years, through which he presented music of dozens of prominent films and series in the history of Egyptian art.
A fantastic life and career
The veteran composer is the founder and conductor of the Omar Khairat Band.
In 1959, Khairat joined the Cairo Conservatoire, which is regarded as the premier music conservatory in Egypt.He studied piano and musical theory with Italian Maestro Vincenzo Carro.
After graduating, he continued his studies at the Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in England.
Khairat was born in Cairo and raised in a family of musicians. His uncle, Abou-Bakr Khairat, is a great Egyptian composer of classical music. Abou-Bakr Khairat was the founder of the Conservatoire Institute. Additionally, his grandfather Mahmoud Khairat was a musician, poet, and painter
His compositions have been featured in various, well-known movies and TV shows.
Khairat’s official Facebook page recently announced that he won the most influential music figure award for 2022 from Daily News Egypt.
