Within the framework of the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources’ (MoPMR) strategy for social responsibility, a new CT scan room equipped with a CT scan machine was opened for the main university hospital affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at Alexandria University.

The room was prepared in cooperation between the Alexandria National Refining and Petrochemicals Company (ANRPC), the Abu Qir Fertilizers Company (AFC), and the University in Alexandria Governorate.

ANRPC was commissioned by the Supreme Committee for Social Responsibility in the Petroleum Sector to prepare a needs assessment that would contribute to improving and raising the quality of medical service provision at the Main University Hospital in Alexandria.

In order to provide appropriate support, a project was implemented to equip a CT scan room and gift a CT scan machine with all its components in accordance with the latest international technologies in this field.

This project has contributed to raising the efficiency of the radiology unit at the main university hospital, which supports the efforts of the state and the Ministry of Health and Population in providing the best medical service to civil society.

These projects come within the framework of the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources’ keenness to play a positive role in serving society and enhancing the leadership of the petroleum sector in sustainable development.
